RESEARCH TELLS THE TALE
This is an introduction to the concept and history of enhancing performance using entirely natural means—both physically and mentally—as developed by ANTHONY M. HIRSCHMAN. Hirschman has been working with elite athletes since the mid-1980’s to the present day. The initial program he implemented with these athletes was a manually-applied method that opens blood flow throughout the body’s muscular and nervous systems. This method was determined by officially-sanctioned United States Olympic researchers to significantly increase speed, strength, and biomechanical movement efficiency. OLYMPIC TEAM INVOLVEMENT
Many of the athletes on the 1984 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team received Hirschman’s circulation-increasing method immediately before and during the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Among those athletes, 14 of them won a total of 20 medals—13 of those medals being gold (also 6 silver and 1 bronze). This Olympics became a “launching pad” of sorts for Hirschman’s program. Adding on the two other modalities that he has devised since then (specifically in the area of mental skills training), Hirschman’s now-integrated systems have continued to assist athletes in several different sports. A number of these athletes have won Olympic gold medals at various times between 1984 and 2016, including during two of the last three Olympic Games (in London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016). One of the coaches Hirschman collaborated with in his early research studies trained the most prominent American gold medalist in track and field at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Hirschman has also collaborated with several other outstanding United States Olympic coaches from 1984 to the present day (2022), in the areas of conducting ongoing research as well as exchanging ideas and philosophies.

During the first phase of his research (which lasted several years—throughout the rest of the 1980’s), Hirschman’s hands-on method was used by some of the most successful Olympic and professional athletes in modern American sports history (“modern” as defined as competing sometime over the last half century). Through his work with these champions, Hirschman has learned up close what made them so successful on a mental level. Because of the importance of this new information, the major focus of his research shifted from physical to mental. His goal was to create systems that reproduce how these all-time great athletes think—especially how they respond to pressure. Hirschman has been able to consistently transfer that knowledge and mental skill development to athletes from high school and college to the professional and Olympic level, producing documented results that approach those experienced by the best-ever in various sports.

WHAT IS THE GREATEST ATHLETES’ SECRET?
Among other attributes, it was their ability to get into the Zone with greater frequency than did their rivals. More often than not, their competitors would falter under pressure--whereas the athletes Hirschman worked with would remain mentally and emotionally stable. This steadiness was a key factor that enabled them to win the championship of their sport over and over again. As a result of his experiences with the rarest of athletes—the greatest champions ever—Hirschman has identified and refined various methods to reliably help athletes get into the Zone mental state. This ability to access the Zone at will, which includes a thorough understanding of what it means to “be in the Zone,” allows the athlete to remain in that state for extended periods of time. How long an athlete stays in the Zone is often the determining factor of who wins or loses sporting events, because of the intense pressure of championship-level competition. When an athlete is truly in the Zone and can stay in it, he feels little or even no pressure at all. This is a GIANT ADVANTAGE over opponents, who would normally be “feeling the heat,” causing them to wilt under the pressure. Thus emerges the Ultimate Goal of a athlete or team striving to win a championship: To stay mentally stable—defined as CALM AND FOCUSED— at the highest level imaginable (such as the Super Bowl, World Series, Olympic finals, and other such globally-important sporting events like the World Cup).
RESULTS THAT STAND THE TEST OF TIME
Previously not-as-accomplished athletes who have used Hirschman’s process of entering the Zone on demand have delivered off-the-charts championship-level performances. These results have been compiled and organized through research conducted from the early-1990’s to now (2022). During this same 30-year time period, a number of highly respected musicians and entertainment executives have also worked with Hirschman, utilizing programs similar to those the athletes used—with equally remarkable outcomes.
